Liz contacted me with the need for a "rather simple" website for her campaign for Board of Education for Frederick County, MD. The kicker was she needed to have it done in two weeks time to coincide with the date she filed her paperwork to run.
During our discussion Liz asked for a site that would be easy for her to update that didn't require her to have to code anything, give her the ability to blog when she wanted to, and provide a link for her to receive donations through a PayPal account. I designed her site to be very simple yet official and decided to use Drupal 7 as the content management system to help her update her site with ease. Liz also was creating a Facebook page for her campaign and social media was going to be vital to explaining her platform issues so the next order of business was to make sure that all of her pages had the ability for users to post to Facebook and Twitter. I used the Share This module that would give a user just about any avenue for publishing a link via social media.
The site was finished on time for her to file her paperwork and I made several tutorial videos to train her on how to manage her site. Visit her website.
